Broncos are so gosh darn attractive as a dedicated Overlanding Rig because the second through fifth generation Broncos were based off of the very very popular F- 150 and there are many interchangeable parts between the two. Not only does it make finding replacement parts cheap and easy to find; even at almost 40 years old you’re still going to find aftermarket support to customize this thing. It’s obvious that this truck has seen a lot of love and TLC over the years. The owner has recently applied a ceramic coating to keep that beautiful paint protected.
Located in Lake Havasu, Arizona, this “Bullnose” Bronco has a clean body without typical wheel rust. It’s equipped with the tried and true Holley carbureted 351 Windsor with 136 hp and 236 lb-ft of Torque. It’s recently been serviced with an almost entirely new electrical system featuring a new Interstate battery, 100-amp alternator, spark plugs, wires, ignition module, and a new coil. Additionally, there’s an electric fan cooled aluminum radiator, an aluminum intake, and long tube headers finished with a Flowmaster muffler for great bark around town with minimum drone on the highway.
We totally dig the custom front and rear bumpers with the front mounted winch. They’re a lot of ways to lift these Ford Trucks and almost always, people slap on the cheapest option possible, this means a harsh ride and cheap components. Not this Bronco - it comes with a premium Skyjacker 6” lift kit that includes front and rear drive-shafts, springs, sway bars, steering stabilizer, shocks, and other supporting chassis modifications as well as a recent professional front end alignment. To top it all off this rig sits on blacked out 15” rims wrapped in our favorite BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires, measuring in at a meaty 33 x 12.5. Gotta love the way those tires fill in the wheel wells – this thing looks tough!
On the inside you’ll find recently refinished front seats and vinyl flooring – just spray the mud away! The owner has installed fresh Autometer gauges and a lifesaving aftermarket BLUETOOTH head-unit – an absolute MUST on these older trucks! The only mod we’d probably revert back to stock form is the aftermarket steering wheel but to each their own, we know a lot of trail bosses who prefer these chunkier wheels we just happen to love this era of Ford truck steering wheels.
Although this truck features power steering and brakes it does lack heat and A/C but with those awesome corner window vents even on the hottest days you won’t miss the A/C.
Overall this is a pretty great example of a third generation Ford Bronco. It’s got tasteful and appropriate modifications with great bones – it’s got all the power you need to tow your favorite toy or camping rig and just looks the business.
The owner is open to some trades and will take cash offers in person only. If we needed another Bronco in our stable I’d be on the first flight to Lake Havasu – so beat us to it before we lose our senses because this thing is priced to sell!
This beautiful beast is being offered with a clean title and no known issues.
