If you’re looking to build your very own Overland Rig we’ve got the perfect blank slate right here. Toyota delivered the Tacoma in a wide variety of trim levels but few beat this particular offering.
Before we dig into the nitty-gritty details we’d love to highlight that the absolute best part of this Tacoma is that at less than 20,000 miles this truck is just barely worn in AND comes with a transferable 7 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.
Located in trail-heaven Denver, Colorado, this one-owner Tacoma with TRD Off-Road Package is powered by the top of the line 3.5L V6 with Dual VVT-I, making 278hp and 265 lb-ft which is more than enough power to fit this with a loaded Roof Top Tent or that retro classic Airstream camper trailer you’ve always wanted (did we mention it has the coveted factory tow package?). Also optioned at the time of purchase, is an awesome and now hard to find, manual 6-speed transmission which ensures you’ll have the most fun getting to that favorite off-road campsite.
Just when you thought this truck couldn’t get any better the owner also optioned it with the 4WDemand: Part-Time 4x4 system featuring a 2 speed, electronically controlled transfer case with an automatic limited slip and a LOCKING Rear Differential – so when the trail gets slick you’ve got all the power locked in to make sure you make it to the next adventure. Last but definitely not least you get a Bilstein Off-Road tuned suspension with their segment leading shocks.
Moving to the inside of the truck you’ll find a super clean black cloth interior. Additionally, the owner fitted the vehicle with awesomely powerful twin JL 10-inch subwoofers with JL adjustable bass control remote stealthily mounted on the dash for a factory-like finish.
This garage queen has far too many more features to brag about but a few of our favorite factory installed items (and frankly must-haves for any serious Overlander) are the All-Weather Floor Liners, TRD Performance Exhaust, CJ Bed Mat, D-style Tow Rings (for pulling out your buddies stuck in the mud), and a personal favorite of ours, a folding Tonneau Cover so you can secure your gear on extended hikes.
This truck did suffer a slight booboo at the hands of a rogue trailer tongue but the seller mentions that it’s a relatively minor dent and we’ve documented the damage in the pictures below for you to check out. Additionally, you can find a full list of ALL of the many many options down below as well.
And remember, nobody finds better overlanders than your friends at Drive-Overland.
